Saturday 24th June Competition - Information for the day

20/06/2023

This weekend we are holding our competition, in memory of Dorian and Alex Mlynski. We have lots of great things planned and we have a great team of people who are going to make the day work so well!

Important information that you need to know:

  • Entries close on Friday 23rd June. Sadly, we can't accept walk ins on the day of the event. Doors open for warm up at 08:30. Under 13's and under 19's groups will commence from 09:00, with under 15's starting at around 11:00. Please ensure that you arrive no later than 08:45, so that we can get everyone booked in and on the correct tables.

  • Sadly, we do not have any disabled access to the clubs sports hall, however there will be some matches streamed live on our Facebook page.

  • The cost of entering the event is £10 per child, please pay at the control desk once you arrive.
  • Where possible, we have entered players into two categories, to give them the maximum amount of matches possible. We are using a round robin format, which is then followed by a knockout. Consolation groups/knockouts are also being used for those who don't make it into the main knockout.
  • A pop-up cafe will be open in in the classroom next to the sports hall. Food and drink will be available, no open drinks are permitted in the courts.
  • Please ensure that score cards are filled in accurately and correctly.
  • Children under the age of 13 must be supervised by a parent or responsible adult throughout the event.
  • Donations for the raffle are welcomed, these can be handed into the control desk. We would like to thank our table tennis family for their generosity so far!
  • There is no fire drill planned on the day of the event, should the fire alarm sound, the assembly point is Lambert Construction on Blucher Street. Please ensure that you leave the building by the nearest and safest fire escape, these are clearly marked.
  • Photography and Videos - We welcome any photos and videos being taken at the event, however before you do this, please ensure that you have signed with the control desk for permission to take photos and videos. We will be live streaming some matches on our social media platforms @Barnsley Table Tennis Club – we would encourage any family members who may be at home to check out the streams throughout the dat. All finals will be streamed.

Places are still available, however entries close on Friday 23rd June. Please ensure that entries are submitted via the link below.

We look forward to seeing everyone on Saturday, if anyone has any questions in the meantime please contact the club. Contact information can be found in the 'contact us' section of the website.
