Record Number of Juniors attending BTTC

Barnsley Table Tennis Club is currently seeing record high numbers at its Junior Focus coaching sessions. This is a huge positive as the club continues its post COVID recovery and its work in the community. Junior Focus sessions exist to provide our children with outstanding coaching and social opportunities, in a safe place that they can call home. Children are key to the future of both the sport and our club, it is so good to see our groups building and growing together

I am so proud of how all the children are so keen to improve at each session, taking part in different coaching drills and activities. This time last year we had 6 children and youth members on the register, we are now working with 50 amazing children and youth members. This is a huge step in the right direction as we look to become one of the best providers for table tennis coaching and opportunities in the region. Each child matters massively at Barnsley Table Tennis Club, I am so proud of the whole team who dedicate so much of their own time into growing and developing our children on a weekly basis. The juniors are a credit to both themselves and our club, I can't wait for the months ahead, these really are exciting times for both the sport and Barnsley Table Tennis Club. 

Junior Focus runs five sessions across four days a week to cater for the huge demand that we are currently seeing. Each session offers something slightly different, for beginners right up to league players. This summer we will also be running our PingIt programme, giving 25 new children the opportunity to get involved with the sport, receiving a free bat, BTTC t-shirt, bag, towel and six coaching sessions through the school holidays, all free of charge. This is an outstanding opportunity that we are proud to provide, in partnership with the Moving Mental Health Forward Network.
